Who We Are

THAW Sports And Remedial Massage Therapy is a company in Romsey, Hampshire that offers healthcare treatments suitable for a wide range of health conditions. Our founder, Ali Rosen, has had more than 14 years of experience in the industry. Under her leadership, our team provides top-notch bespoke services to individuals as well as corporate groups.

Get to Know Our Founder

Ali Rosen studied psychology at the University of South Australia (UniSA). In 2004, she trained as a massage and bodywork professional in California and obtained further qualifications in the following:

  • Baby Massage
  • Dry Needling (Acupuncture)
  • Facial Enhancement Acupuncture
  • Health and Social Care

  • Life Coaching
  • Meditation and Mindfulness Coaching (Since July 2018)
  • Reflexology
  • Sports and Remedial Massage

Prior to starting her journey in the health and wellness industry in 2004, she worked as a project manager in the global construction, pharmaceutical, and energy industries. She has also earned a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) qualification from a local college.

Charity Work

As a level 2 ride leader at British Cycling, Ali organises cycling events and takes small groups around Romsey and its surrounding areas in Hampshire. She has completed a number of cycling fundraising events including Women V Cancer Ride the Night, Women V Cancer Cycle Tanzania, which spanned a distance of 400 km.


Ali continues to cycle for a cause. Having participated at the Cape Town Cycle Tour of March 2016, she was appointed as a ride captain for the Saints Foundation annual cycling fundraiser. There, she led Saints supporters on a 2-day, 200-mile cycle to the Saints Stadium in May 2017.


After cycling 1100 miles from Land’s End to John o’ Groats back in July 2015, she cycled the other way around in order to raise money for Alzheimer’s. In November 2017, she embarked on another Women V Cancer cycling event, cycling more than 400 miles through Brazil.


Aside from being invited to present a talk on health and wellness to a women’s group, her other charity works include:


• Charging flat rates to all veteran servicemen and women in the Armed Forces as part of a registered group


• Giving big weekly discounts to the staff at a Hampshire university


• Offering highly discounted services to volunteers, carers, and support workers


• Providing free leg massages to participants of Walk The Test Way who do the event to benefit a charity of their choice


• Volunteering at the Macmillan Cancer Centre in Southampton and providing complimentary therapy to cancer patients and their families
